A year of events, in France and elsewhere, with our partners
A year of events, in France and elsewhere, with our partners
Results & impact 7 May 2024
From our regional offices in tropical and Mediterranean countries, the French overseas regions and Montpellier, we conduct joint activities with more than a hundred countries. Those activities notably take the form of a portfolio of almost 900 projects each year, a selection of which is shown on this map. A number of platforms in partnership for research and training – our preferred mode of international cooperation – complete this view of our worldwide presence on the ground.
Engineering agroecological transitions
Biodiversity as a lever of development and resilience
Helping farming systems in the global South adapt to climate change
Supporting the transition to more sustainable, inclusive food systems
An integrated animal, plant and ecosystem health approach, in connection with public health
Territory-based approaches to leverage sustainable, inclusive development
In the field of tropical agricultural value chains, CIRAD has a long history of exceptional, recognized technical expertise of use in renewing production approaches to include the concepts of agroecology.
CIRAD is heavily involved in training students and junior researchers from France and abroad. It contributes to PhD and Masters-level courses and works to build the skills of its scientific partners by receiving their researchers and providing them with professional training.
