Compensate for a vitamin D deficiency
Vitamin D is a fat soluble vitamin that helps calcium absorption in the gut and maintains adequate serum calcium and phosphate for healthy bones, teeth, and muscles. Vitamin D deficiency is a silent and neglected global public health problem today. Almost a billion people around the world suffer from vitamin D deficiency or insufficiency.
Symptoms of vitamin D deficiency have been linked to different health problems, including heart disease, depression, and cancer. The signs that you are not getting enough vitamin D are: softening of the bones of fractures, fatigue and general weakness, muscle cramps, pain in joints and bones, trouble healing wounds, dizziness, anxiety, hair loss.

To fill the vitamin D deficiency, the following measures can be taken:
• Go out in the sun
• Eat foods rich in vitamin D every day. for example: mushrooms, liver, meat, fish, liver oil, shrimp, egg yolk, oatmeal.
• Take supplements while consulting doctors
• Regularly test the blood for 25-hydroxy vitamin D.
• Spending enough time in the sun and eating foods rich in vitamin D is the best way to get a daily dose of vitamin D. Only eating foods rich in vitamin D is insufficient to meet your daily dose.
Check your vitamin D level twice a year and talk to your healthcare professional before taking a vitamin D supplement.
